Family-Owned. Faith-Led. Building Custom and Luxury Homes with Integrity.

At Cantrell Custom Homes of East Texas, we believe building a home should feel personal—because it is. We take time to get to know the families we serve, understand how they live, and listen to what they hope their home will become. Every family is different, and we believe their building experience should reflect that.

Serving East Texas and beyond, we guide our clients from their earliest ideas and custom floor plans through construction and final selections. We remain hands-on and accessible throughout the process, offering honest communication, experienced guidance, and genuine care every step of the way.

Our goal is about more than completing a beautiful house. We want to build trust, lasting relationships, and a home that truly feels like yours—a place your family will be proud to call home for generations.

Our Expertise

Custom & Luxury Homes, Built with Purpose

Faithfully building one-of-a-kind homes across East Texas through honest guidance, thoughtful design, and craftsmanship meant to last for generations.

Custom & Luxury Home Construction

At Cantrell Custom Homes of East Texas, LLC, custom home construction is at the heart of what we do. We believe being chosen to build a family’s home is both a privilege and a responsibility—one we approach with faith, honesty, and genuine care.

To us, luxury is not defined solely by square footage, a price tag, or expensive finishes. It is found in thoughtful planning, well-executed details, quality materials, lasting craftsmanship, and a home designed specifically around the people who will live there.

From the first conversation through the final walk-through, we manage every phase with hands-on involvement, clear communication, and careful stewardship of your investment. The result is a home that feels personal, functions beautifully, and reflects your family’s vision for generations to come.

Custom Design & Build-Ready Plans

At Cantrell Custom Homes of East Texas, LLC, we believe the best homes begin with a solid plan—and with someone taking the time to truly listen. We work with you from your earliest ideas through detailed, construction-ready plans. We want your home to look beautiful on paper, but more importantly, to make sense to build, work well for everyday life, and continue serving your family for years to come.

Before we begin drawing, we get to know you and how your family actually lives. Where does everyone tend to gather? What works in your current home, and what does not? What do you need now, and what might you need later? Those conversations help guide everything from room sizes and traffic flow to storage, natural light, and the little details that can make a big difference once you are living in the home.

Because we are involved in both design and construction, we look at every plan with a designer’s eye and a builder’s experience. This helps us catch practical concerns early, keep communication clear, and make sure important details are carried from the drawings into the actual build. You are not simply handed a set of plans and left to figure out the next step—we stay with you from the first sketch until those plans become the place your family calls home.

Preconstruction Planning & Honest Budget Guidance

Building a custom home is a significant investment, and we believe honest conversations about cost should happen before construction begins—not after. Labor, materials, site work, and skilled trades simply are not priced the way they were years ago. We would rather be upfront from the beginning than give you a number that sounds good but is not realistic, only to surprise you later.

During preconstruction, we work through the plans, the property, site and utility needs, project scope, allowances, material expectations, and the decisions that can have the greatest effect on the overall budget. We help you understand where your money is going, where you have flexibility, and where cutting costs now could create problems later.

Being realistic about cost does not mean giving up on the home you have been dreaming about. We work hard to compare options, find sensible ways to save, and help you decide which features matter most to your family. We understand how hard our clients work for the money they are investing, and we treat that budget with care.

Every construction project will have some variables that cannot be fully known in advance, but you should never be left in the dark. Our promise is to communicate openly, explain changes clearly, and work alongside you toward the best possible solution. Our goal is for you to begin construction with a clear understanding of the plan, the budget, and the team that will be walking through it with you.

Built on Trust, Not Shortcuts
The CCHETX Difference

Building a custom home is exciting, but we also understand that it can feel like a lot. You are not expected to know every phase of construction or have every answer—that is what we are here for. Our job is to keep the process moving, explain what is happening, and walk alongside you from the first property visit to the day we hand you the keys. No construction project is completely without surprises, but you should never feel as though you have been left to figure them out alone.

1. Consultation & Vision
Every home begins with a conversation. We meet with you, walk the property, and listen to what you want your home to be. We talk about how your family lives, what matters most to you, your budget, your timeline, and the features you hope to include. This gives us a clear starting point and helps make sure we are the right fit for one another.

2. Design & Preconstruction
This is where your ideas begin taking shape. We develop or review the plans, look at the needs of the property, work through preliminary selections, gather pricing, and build a realistic picture of the overall project. We try to address the big questions early so you can begin construction with greater clarity and fewer unknowns.

3. Construction
Once construction begins, we remain actively involved. We coordinate subcontractors, materials, schedules, inspections, and the many details that keep a home moving forward. We stay hands-on, accessible, and in communication with you throughout the build. When questions, decisions, or unexpected circumstances arise, we talk through them with you and work together toward the best solution.

4. Completion & Beyond
As your home nears completion, we walk through it with you, address the remaining details, and help you become familiar with its features and systems. Handing over the keys is a special moment, but it is not where our relationship ends. We stand behind our workmanship, remain available when questions arise, and hope the relationship we have built along the way continues long after you have settled into your new home.

Built on the Rock.

Crafted for Generations.

Matthew 7:24

“Built on the Rock. Crafted for Generations.” is more than our company tagline—it reflects what we want every part of our work to stand for. “Built on the Rock” speaks to the faith that guides how we live, work, and serve others. “Crafted for Generations” speaks to the care and responsibility we feel when building a home meant to serve a family today and be loved for many years to come.

That does not mean we claim to be perfect, and it does not mean a construction project will never face a challenge. Building a home involves many people, moving parts, and circumstances that cannot always be predicted. Faith does not mean problems will never arise—it means the way we respond to them matters.

For us, integrity means telling the truth even when the conversation is difficult, keeping our clients informed, taking responsibility when something is ours to address, and treating every family’s investment with care. It means treating our clients, subcontractors, and vendors with respect and choosing to do what is right, even when no one is watching.

When a family chooses us to build their home, they are trusting us with far more than a construction project. They are trusting us with their dreams, their hard-earned money, and the place where so much of their life will unfold. It will be where meals are shared, holidays and milestones are celebrated, prayers are spoken, laughter fills the rooms, and comfort is found during difficult seasons. Remembering that keeps us grounded—we are not simply putting up walls; we are helping create the place their family will call home.

We take that trust personally. We want our clients not only to love their finished home, but also to look back on the building experience knowing they were heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Many of our clients become friends who feel more like family, and those relationships matter to us long after the final walk-through and the handing over of the keys.

Our Mission

At Cantrell Custom Homes of East Texas, LLC, our mission reaches beyond the homes we build. We want the way we work, the relationships we form, and the way we serve others to reflect our faith in Jesus Christ. Building homes is what we do, but honoring God, caring for people, and sharing the hope of the gospel are at the heart of why we do it.

“Unless the Lord builds a house, its builders labor over it in vain.” — Psalm 127:1

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16

“The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.” — 2 Peter 3:9

Do you know Jesus? Do you have questions about what it means to follow Him? Give us a call—we would genuinely love to talk with you.
